How much freelancers can make depends on several factors, such as the industry they are in, their experience level, and where they are located in the world, among others. But it is absolutely possible for freelancers to make six figures. 

For example, if your rates are $50/hour (which, frankly, is extremely low for many freelancers!) and you plan to work full time (roughly 40 hours/week) and take two weeks vacation a year, that's $100,000.
